Bentz House

Bentz House

PASADENA, CA / Project Architect
Client: Private Owner
Date of Construction: 1906
Landmark Status: National Register of Historic Places | California Register of Historic Resources

Designed by the renowned architecture firm of Greene & Greene, the Mrs. Louis Bentz House was originally constructed to promote the sales of lots within the newly sub-divided parcel. While more modest in size and scale than many of the homes for which the Greene’s are most well-known, the house reflects a great deal of sensitivity in its detail and appointment. The home continues to be maintained as a private residence. Kelly Sutherlin McLeod Architecture, Inc. is serving as project architect in developing a master preservation plan addressing the repair and restoration of many of the building’s exterior elements, materials and finishes, plus the long-term preservation of this historically significant landmark property.
